ABOUT
My name is Cameron Coley-Smith, I’m based in Staffordshire in Great Britain, and I’m a self-taught painter and photographer - achieving the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Next Generation Prize 2026.
I make work using a variety of mediums including photography and paint, sometimes combining several to best express an artwork's intention, with my photographic work looking closer at our relationship with the environment and with history.

Whilst I am entirely self-taught, my influences have been wide ranging, having enjoyed the work of painters such as Paul Cezane, David Hockney, and Allan D’Arcangelo, and photographers such as Keith Karter, Sergio Larrain, and Jay Maisel.
